Mission
The Etolia Fund invests in community-rooted leaders, organizations, and infrastructure across the American South and Appalachia. These regions have powered social, economic, and cultural progress for generations while being structurally underfunded by philanthropy.
We direct capital, capacity, and connection toward equity-centered efforts that are building durable change where it’s long existed—but rarely been resourced.
Since 2022, The Etolia Fund has directed more than $150,000 to nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, and community efforts aligned with our values.

We envision a future where proximity, not prestige, determines access to philanthropic support—and where communities with deep wisdom and lived experience have the tools, trust, and capital to shape the systems that most affect them.
